How to report a problem

  • Identify yourself by student name and student number
  • State the exact time(s) that you were trying to access the website
  • Give the full address of the page that you were trying to access and be as specific as possible as to what the problem was. eg. if unable to access the Lectopia site from the Con Law 1 Unit materials page, please identify what error you received and the URL of the page.
  • Do a "print screen" of the error message and attach it to your email, or copy and paste the error message into the email.

Common Problems & Solutions

I can't login to a secured unit web page

Check your PersonID (8 digit Student ID) and Password (8 characters) are correct and also that you are enrolled in the unit. You can check your enrolment by logging into the Student Connect website. If you have recently enrolled in a unit, allow a couple of days for your enrolment to be processed.

If you cannot login to Student Connect to check your enrolment details, contact Student Administration

Once student number/password problems have been sorted and you are enrolled in the unit in Student Connect, you will be able to login to the unit web page.

I click on "Unit Materials" and am given an error message.

Email Carol Brett at buslaw-web@uwa.edu.au giving the exact error message, your name and student number, the exact web page address and the date and time.

I can't listen to/play the Lectopia lecture recordings

  • Do you have the software installed on your computer? See the Lectopia software requirements
  • Is there a problem with the recording? Click the 'Report a problem with this recording' link underneath the recording you are having a problem with.
  • Is the server down? Check the "Notices" section at the top of the Lectopia web page, for server outages and times and other important information.

I've forgotten my password or want to change it.

You can reset or change your password via Pheme.
